Porcelain Figurines For Sale
Determining the value of Gerold porzellan figures depends on:
Gerold Porzellan produced thousands of figurines during the years they were in business. Identification is a problem. The figurines have a number of the bottom but it is often extremely hard to read. In additon, for the numbers to help with identification there needs to be a "Catalog" that ties the number together with a picture. We purchased and published a 1958 Gerold Porzellan catalog but it is the only one we have seen.
There are two ways to find items on this site. If you are interested in browsing over a variety of figurines, the links at the left will let you do that.
If you are trying to identify a specific figurine entering descriptive terms in the search box at the top left will get your answers the quickest. For example, entering "girl goose gold white" would return a list of pages with a girl and goose in the old white and gold banded style.
Gerold Porzellan is not worth a lot of money. You can buy gerold porcelain in perfect condition for $25-$50. That means if you have a damaged piece it has little value. We have noticed sellers know this and like to gloss over (Flea Bites) problems. It can be hard to tell from a picture on Ebay if something is a chip or a manufacturing defect.
If you are holding the figurine in your hand it's easy to run you fingers over the ears, fingers and other places most likely to be damaged. You will feel rough spots.
